They had to dig deep into the nether regions of irrational fantasy to come up with a vision of racism in the shooting of a gorilla in a zoo.
But dig they did and with the aid of their own “innate” racial superiority Clemson has elevated to the fore the old stereotype of black skin and monkeys to a politically correct racist meme. How this relates to “rape culture” is stranger yet. The mindset of the left remains indecipherable.
Nice job, Clemson. Someone has to keep ripping the scabs from the wounds of the past. Otherwise healing might occur.
Clemson University bans references to Harambe for promoting racism, rape culture
From FOX News: By William Hicks, September 27, 2016
The famed neuroscientist David Eagleman once said: “There are three deaths. The first is when the body ceases to function. The second is when the body is consigned to the grave. The third is that moment, sometime in the future, when your name is spoken for the last time.”
It seems that social justice warriors are demanding this third death for the sweet, gentle giant Harambe, the gorilla who was tragically shot at the Cincinnati Zoo in May.
The administration at Clemson University is banning students from publicly displaying references to Harambe, saying he promotes racism and rape culture.
Following Harambe’s death, the Internet came together to immortalize Harambe in meme form, with timeless mottos like “dicks out for Harambe” and “Harambe did 9/11.” But it seems these cries of solidarity with the slain gorilla are misunderstood by certain colleges. A few weeks ago RAs at U Mass threatened Title IX investigations toward students using Harambe memes.
At Clemson, the ban was the result of an “incident” the university refuses to elaborate on, involving offensive use of a Harambe meme.
